When you grab opportunities with open arms, this is actually easier to talk about than to actually do. Most people, although never actually doing everything about it, find themselves dreaming about being rich. A combination of procrastination and 'what if' syndrome can cripple your creative spirit and might mean your idea will never become a reality.

Thinking you could learn Spanish for months and imagining the holidays you will take and the people you will communicate with is one example. You can dream forever but unless you actually make the effort to start taking lessons, then nothing will be accomplished.
This is similar to the martial arts approach where the idea is to take action immediately and avoid over analyzing the situation.

It's likely that you want to start your own business but you fear the kinds of things that can go wrong. What if your initial investment doesn't pay off? Although there are a lot of things that could go wrong, there are also many things that can go right! Fear can be paralyzing. This happens when your thinking about starting a business especially if you keep waiting for the right time. There will never be a perfect time. When it comes to starting your own business, it's now or never.

A step by step process is overcoming your fear.

Make sure that you have a clear idea of what kind of business you want to start. You can keep your worries at bay if you have a clear plan.
Don't forget to check if you have access to the resources you will need. Aside from the necessary start up cash, this will include anything else you will need as well.
Make sure that you also have access to clients as well as know enough about marketing basics in order to ensure you will have enough interest in what you are offering.

The most important part just like anything is taking action. An itemized list of what you feel needs to be done is what you need to do in order for you to start that business that you always wanted.

Prioritizing your list will help too. Before you begin, don't wait for all your ducks to be in a proverbial row but make sure that you have all the basics covered. Waiting for that perfect someday is not necessary at all. Instead, you need to make an imperfect start.

Try not to over think everything. The best approach sometimes is to just jump into the deep end.

You shouldn't wait to start to discover your own entrepreneurial spirit. Now would be the time to take action.
